Pre-commencement activities, including archaeological trial works, perimeter safety fencing, and vegetation clearance, have now been completed.

The site was closed over the Christmas period and recent weather conditions have delayed the planned start of works. Mobilisation will now start from 12 January 2026 and will include the installation of construction compounds and associated welfare facilities, as shown on the plan below.

Remediation compounds and welfare units will be repositioned around the site as works progress. Heavy plant and machinery will begin to arrive on site during January, and residents may see increased activity during this period.

Once operational, remediation works will be undertaken on a phased basis across the site. All activity will be carried out in accordance with the approved planning consent. Measures will remain in place to manage construction traffic, minimise dust and noise, and reduce disruption to neighbouring residents. The site team will continue to monitor operations closely.
